Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Delirium by Lauren Oliver gets a three out of five stars!
The Book of Shhh says that deliria alters your perception, disables your ability to reason clearly, impairs you from making sound judgments. But it does not tell you this: that love will turn the whole world into something greater than itself. Lauren Oliver

Lena is born in a world where love is considered a disease called deliria. The United States has cut all ties to the outside world. They have put up boarders and rule out all people that refuse to be cured of deliria. This meaning the blitz, in which the DFA bombed all personnel that refused to move into approved communities or fought for free love. The cure is issued for all people at the age of 18. If the walls weren't enough to keep the people in then the Book of Shhh and the army that supports this is! But beyond the electric fences and barbwire is uncontroled land called the Wild. This is where the Invalids or Uncured live without rules.

Lena has always followed the rules and things are looking up. She only has ninety-five days until her procedure and then shes deliria free. People not only look at her like she can infect them but also the weight of her mother committing suicide since she was a sympathizer. Lena's best friend Hana is the most attractive girl in Portland and seems to better at almost everything.

Things change when Lena goes to her evaluation. She has contently rehearsed what to say but when the time comes she says the most questionable answers that seem like the deliria my be present. Lena is saved thanks to the protest made by the Uncured/Invalids. Lena sees a boy on the observation deck and he looks like he's from the Wilds. This wont be the last time they meet. Lena and Hana go for a run and hope the fence to the labs and run into Alex the guy she swears she saw on the observation deck. After Lena starts to spend time with Alex she learns whats true that the DFA teaches them and all the lies they've been taught. Lena will question her friends and family. She will have to make the largest decision in her life!

This book is different. I enjoyed reading it for the most part. I felt it was a little slow but began to pick up half way in. The conflicts faced are a little exaggerated. Lauren really explains things and sets the scene. I liked Lena's character and really  understood her situation. The world she lives in is so amazing! The characters are realistic. The story has some really unsuspecting turns. The book flows really nicely.

Bloodrose (Nightshade Series #3) by Andrea Cremer

Bloodrose by Andrea Creme gets a 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!

Calla fell in love with the wrong boy! The story starts with Calla having to go save Ren with Adne. She still can't decide her feelings for him and things only get complicated from there. The final adventure takes calla on a journey to collect the last three pieces of the Scions weapon. After saving Ren she the adventure to collecting the pieces begins. Each piece of the sword is protected by an element. Each task only becomes harder with the Keepers increasing the obstacles they must pass to get the pieces. Calla must not only deal with being the Alpha but also help Ansel. She has hope for him when he becomes active and helpful again but her hope is destroyed when she learns it was only an act. Shay and Ren contently have tension over the proper mate for Calla. The Guardians are becoming more use to the help of the Searchers cause and begin to build more trust with them. Ren and Adne are building a sibling bond quickly over the short amount of time they spend together. new love starts to surface and life changing choices are made. Calla must learn who she can trust and also to let go of those she was once close to. The final battle brings joy and sorrow. The Keepers are using all the power they can to stop them.  A lesson must be learned from all this and Shay must make the rite choice.

Andrea contently is building up the suspense in these books. This book was rarely predictable and honestly is hard to put down. I loved how the characters are portrayed and always stay as a pack. Andrea brought a lot of culture into the book. The places the characters have to go teaches them something new about Guardians and Keepers that they never knew. This series is its own take on werewolves and I love that!! These are very well written and i highly recommend them.

Magic of the Moonlight (Full Moon Series #2) by Ellen Schreiber

Magic of the Moonlight by Ellen Schreiber gets a four out of five stars!!
"Beware of a bite under a full moon... It will complicate your love life."
Celeste is a normal girl. In the first book we learn that she lived on the "nicer" side of town and was friends with the most popular teens at her high school. Living in a small town  is not a good thing for the new and mysterious  Brandon. The book begins after Nash learns of Brandon being a Werewolf. This complicates Celeste life. Nash is constantly threatening to tell the school and all of their close friends about Brandon's secret. Celeste must pretend to date Nash and keep here relationship with Brandon a secret.  Celeste is trying to find ways to tell her friends about her feelings for Brandon but things always seem to stop her. Her friends are happy to see that she's dating Nash again which only makes things harder.
At school many pranks are being played on Brandon and Celeste is keen on finding out who it is and putting a stop to it all. The Full Moon ball is also coming up so and Celeste would love to go with Brandon but Nash has other plans for them. Brandon is desperate to find a cure to these full moon transformations, even if that means going to Dr. Meadows for help! Brandon will find help from his dad, which he's not excited to ask for. Celeste and Brandon love the idea of no longer having to worry about the werewolf but deep down inside they aren't ready to let it go. Many obstacles are faced by Celeste and Brandon. Things only seem to get worse the more they try to to make their relationship endure.

I really like how Ellen built on the characters in this book! She gives us more detail about how the character feels about Brandon and the way they face situations in this book. You learn so much more about Brandon and the story of his mom is contently build along with how a person exactly becomes a werewolf. We get more of an inside view on Celeste friends view of Brandon and why they have a hard time accepting him. Celeste "love triangle' is built up in this book as well. This is an exciting book and not a very long read!
